The Computer Dudes – A Scam Program That You Should Avoid

By Kyle / May 2, 2018

The Computer Dudes scam

The Computer Dudes claims to be some incredible program online that provides an amazing opportunity to make easy money… But will you really be able to make money with this? OF COURSE NOT. This is just another low-level scam that will have you wasting a bunch of time trying to make money with something that will not work out.

In this review I will be going over some of the signs that you may have spotted that are signs of a scam and I will also be going over the reality of this program, which is that you will make no money with it.

What Is The Computer Dudes?

The Computer Dudes is what you call a link posting scam. The creator of this program is a woman named “Brenda Adams” but as you will see soon this is just a lie.

Basically what they tell you is that you can make easy money online posting links for companies. They tell you that companies are desperate to have independent link posters working from home because it saves them money.

These types of scams can be tricky because they are actually based on a legitimate way to make money called affiliate marketing, which is when you promote products for companies via affiliate links and earn commissions when you help make sales. So while you can make money posting links in a way, it is nothing like they lead you to believe.

So what I will be going over now are some of the red flags that I spotted which show this to be a scam and after that I will be going over how this “link posting” stuff really works.

Some Red Flags – Lies & Misleading Information

Has This Program Ever Been On The News? = NO

At the top of their sales page they have a bunch of news logos and above that it says “work from home opportunities have been featured on:” which kind of leads you to believe that this particular program has been featured on the news. I know they don’t specifically say that “this has been on the news” but this is what you are led to believe.

Anyway… My point here is that this program has never been on the news and that this is misleading. They are showing these news logos to try to come off as a more credible program because people tend to trust what has been on the news more than just any old piece of information.

This program has never been on any of these new sites and never will be. You can easily go to any of the different sites and search for it. You will not find any relevant information.

Is there Limited Availability? = NO

You can also see from the screenshot above that they tell you “they are currently our positions left in your area” as if there is limited availability and there might not be positions later. This is just a marketing tactic called false scarcity where they try to make the opportunity seem urgent so that you sign up right away.

The goal is to get you to sign up as fast as possible so that you do not go out and read reviews like the one you’re reading right now which would steer you away from these nasty scams.

Who Is Brenda Adams? = A Made-up Character

Brenda Adams is also completely fake. How do I know? Well because I have come across numerous other virtually identical link posting scams in the past and am very familiar with this sort of thing.

Below you can see a screenshot I took off “Brenda Adams” from the sales page for The Computer Dudes…

The Computer Dudes Brenda Adams

And below this you can see another screenshot I talk from a program named Home Job Source. As you can see the background story is the same the only difference is that the name and the picture of the woman. This scam is one of the other virtually identical programs that I just mentioned…

And there are plenty more identical link posting scams where that came from. I just reviewed one recently called Computers Made Simple that you’re going to want to avoid if you come across it.

You Can Make Money “Link Posting” But…

Like I said, you can make money by posting links. The problem is that it is not nearly as easy as this program leads you to believe it is and if you do buy into this program and follow along with it you will not make anything.

This program basically teaches you the spam the way to go about it where you just go spam links everywhere and hope to make money. This way just plain and simple does not work. If it were that easy then everyone would be doing it.

There is much more to it than just posting links, which she tells you will only take one to two minutes. Sure… It does take only a minute or so to post a link, but there is more involved than just the posting of the link if you want to do it the right way.

And the income calculator that they display is absolutely ridiculous. This is just to try to get you excited about all the potential money that you could be earning but is very misleading. “Brenda Adams” tells you that you will be earning an average of around $15 per link that you post which sounds incredible. $15 for 1 to 2 minutes of your time… That’s awesome right?

But of course that is not true. With affiliate marketing, which I said is the real name of this “Link posting” stuff, you earn money in the form of commissions when you help make sales. You don’t earn anything for promoting the products themselves. You only earn money when you promote the products, someone clicks on your affiliate links, and then continues to actually purchase the item or items that you are promoting. I have been doing this since 2015 and I can tell you that there is no accurate way to predict how much a link can make you. To say that on average you are and $15 per link is just stupid.

Conclusion on The Computer Dudes – Avoid

Just another classic link posting scam here that lures people in with claims that they can make easy money online. As a rule of thumb if something seems too good to be true than it probably is. Making money online is not some “super easy” task like many people claim it to be. This is something I have learned from my years of experience in the online world.

If you did already buy into this then I would try to get your money back as soon as possible if I were you. I would not waste my time on this program because it is just going to be training you to do things that will not work out. It would just be a waste of time… Simple as that.

Making Money With This The Right Way

As I said, you can make money "link posting" in a way. Its just that what they tell you in this program is very misleading. Affiliate marketing is a legitimate way to make money online and this is when you promote products for companies online and get paid when you help make sales.

This is what I do for a living. I got started back in 2015 with no experience at all and have been able to turn it into a full-time business. I'm telling you this because what I recommend is the Wealthy Affiliate training program if you want to learn how to do this the right way. Wealthy Affiliate provides training and tools for aspiring affiliate marketers and this is where I got started.

Be sure to leave any questions or comments you may have below and I will get back to you as soon as I can 🙂
