Is Web Copy Cat a Scam? Some Things You Should Know

By Kyle / July 9, 2017

The Web Copy Cat system claims to be a simple way for people to make money online. But should you actually trust what they tell you? Or is Web Copy Cat a scam that is going to be nothing more than a waste of your time?

I looked into this system and I can definitely tell you that it is not as great as it seems. You can definitely make money with it but the chances that you will make it rich aren’t very likely. In this short review I’ll be going over what you really need to know that they aren’t going to tell you.

Its logical to be very suspicious of this system since it sounds too good to be true. I mean.. come on.. a complete done-for-you system that makes you money online. It sounds like a fairy-tale system and just seems too good to be true. And as a rule of thumb.. if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

Luckily for you, you didn’t buy into this system right away. You took the time to do a little extra research and came across my review here. And you will be glad you did.

What is Web Copy Cat?

Web Copy Cat is a done-for-you online marketing system where you get sales funnels, lead pages, etc… so that you can make money online. The kicker here is that it is all about selling this very same system to other people.

It is one of those “hey buy this system and you can make a lot of money getting other people to buy this system” type of deals. If you have heard of MOBE or ASPIRE then you pretty much know how this all works.

How It Works

Ok, so you may or may not know that Web Copy Cat has a $1 ten day trial. This is just to get you in the door. After those 10 days are gone you have to pay $34.95/mo to stay a member and retain access to all the materials.

What this membership will do is give you access to “most” of the done-for-you system. It will give you all the sales funnels, lead pages, landing pages… all of that. And these are what you will be using to promote the Web Copy Cat system to other people.

You will earn 50% commissions on the sales that you make. And since this operates on a membership monthly type deal, you will get payments every month from the people you get to join in.

You will be getting people to join in the same way that the person that got you to join in did. You will be enticing them with the $1 trial and then earning the real money once they are forced to pay the full price.

Notice how I said that you will get access to “most” of the done-for-you system. Because you don’t get everything and you will need to buy more if you want to follow the training completely.

One such upsell is that you need to buy an autoresponder. What an autoresponder is, is an automated email system where you can collect people’s email addresses and have automated customizable emails sent out to them, saving you a lot of time and increasing sales.

A subsciption to AWeber’s autoresponder service is $19/mo just to let you know.

The good thing here is that you will be able to use Devon’s pre-written emails. So you won’t have to create your own emails to send. You can easily set it up so that it sends out his emails to your leads automatically. These emails will likely be the same exact ones that you received and that got you to buy into Web Copy Cat in the first place.

Another upsell is traffic generation. And this is going to be the most costly and the main reason that I don’t recommend this system, especially to beginners…

The Big Deal Breaker

Ok, so it may have seemed like a good idea at first. But now you realize that this “done-for-you” system has a lot of price tags associated with it. Its going to cost you the monthly membership fee of $34.95 + an autoresponder price of $19/mo + the cost of paying for traffic.

You can really blow through money fast paying for traffic and unfortunately that is what you are going to have to do to follow through with this system.

The traffic you will be purchasing is done directly through this system. I don’t know where they get the traffic or how that all works but I do know the prices. Devon offers 6 different traffic packages that are available for purchase. They range in price from $97 to $1,800 and will bring you anywhere from 90 – 2,000 visitors.

Pretty much you are paying a $1 for every visitor.

Is This a Scam?

I don’t really consider Web Copy Cat to be a scam. There is definitely some misleading information being used to promote this system and people often don’t know what they are getting themselves into, but it just isn’t a scam… at least not a “full-blown” scam in my opinion.

The truth is that you can make money with this system and what is provided to you is decent quality. I just don’t agree with the upsells that you don’t know about until after you buy into the program and the fact that you are just promoting the same darn program to other people.

You are promoting it acting as if you are making all this money with it when you really aren’t. Its a rather unethical online marketing practice that I was involved in at one time and just do not like anymore.

Final Thoughts & What I Recommend

While Web Copy Cat is not a scam, I don’t recommend it for 2 main reasons. 1) It is going to be expensive, especially paying for the traffic, and 2) Its just not a legitimate way to make money online. All you are doing is getting people to buy into it so that they can get other people to buy into it. There isn’t much real value here.

Overall I definitely would not consider this to be the best choice for beginners looking to make money online. What I will recommend however is that you take a look at how I make money online.

If you are looking for a more legitimate and realistic way to make money online then I would suggest to take a peek at how I make money online. What I do is much more beginner friendly and I teach beginners to do this all the time.

I actually make a living working online and enjoy what I do. You can read a post I wrote about it by clicking the link below. In this post I go over what it is that I do, how it all works, and how others can get started doing the same.
