Qmee seems like a great opportunity to make some extra money online. Its free and you don’t have to go out of your way using it. But is Qmee a scam? Well you are about to find out in this review. Enjoy.
Getting paid to search online, How does Qmee work?
Qmee is a browser extension that is free to download. It works along side popular search engines, such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo, as well as some other big websites (Amazon, eBay)
When you search for something it displays relevant search results for whatever you just typed. The results that Qmee shows do not affect your normal search results. They are displayed over to the left of the screen.
Eachtime you click on one of Qmee’s results you get paid!! This sounds kind of weird right?
Well where does the money come from?
Qmee’s results are sponsored or paid ads, just like you would normally see at the top of Google or Yahoo search results. So companies pay Qmee to list the adds. And Qmee gives some of that money to you, the searcher.
Its a nice thing to do.
How much can you make with Qmee?
This is of course what everyone wants to know. And the answer is not much. This is definitely not something you are going to get rich off of. Its just a nice and easy way to earn a little extra cash.
The results that Qmee comes up with will all tell you how much they are worth. In the example below I searched “mens running shoes” and 3 Qmee results came up. Each one would pay me 8 cents if I clicked on it.
The amount you get paid for clicking on one of their results ranges generally from a few cents up to $1.
Its very rare that you will see anything close to $1 though. I would expect to see anything between 2 – 25 cents.
What rewards can you get?
The most popular reward would be PayPal cash. Other than that there are gift cards that you can choose to receive instead. Or if you are feeling nice you can even donate to charity.
The good thing about cashing out is that there is no limit. you can cash out cents if you want to. I like this about Qmee.
Pros vs Cons
- Doesn’t require extra time
- Don’t have to go out of your way
- Works with major sites that you already use (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Amazon, Ebay)
- No cash out limit
- Most results are for products
- Many searches don’t find results
- Low pay
Is Qmee a scam and is it worth it?
Qmee is most definitely not a scam. Its got a pretty good reputation and like I mentioned, it works with popular, respected, big name websites.
And the cash out thing is a big deal to me. You can cash out at any time, so its not like many of these paid survey sites that make a high cash out threshold that most people give up on before reaching.
I do think Qmee is worth trying and seeing if you like it yourself. Its not a scam and its free to download and use. You can just search the web like you normally do and make a few buck here and there.
You can sign up here if you want to. Just don’t think you are going to make a lot of money by any means. This will NOT make you much money… at all. Its just a cool way to get a little extra pocket change doing what you already do.
If you want to make a sizable income online then I suggest you read about how I make money.
I make a living working online for myself and I sure as heck am not going around browsing the web like crazy. I have written a post on what I do to make money online, how it all works, and how others can do the same. You can click the link below to read about it.
