Cross Media Panel brings some good stuff to the table… they actually pay you money for browsing the web which you are going to do regardless. However, there are some downsides to this place and in this Cross Media Panel review I’ll be going over them
If you are wondering if Cross Media Panel is legit or just another scam you are in the right place. I was wondering the same thing so I decided to do a little investigating and took a look into it all.
Cross Media Panel Review

Cross Media Panel is a market research program that pays ordinary people like you and I money just to browse the internet as we normally do. The reason they pay people to do this is because they are conducting research on what you do. Companies pay them money to see what consumers search for and what their internet activity is like so that they can improve products and create better products.
There is nothing special to using this program to make money. You will just search the web as you normally do.
This is actually not as uncommon as you may think and places like SwagBucks even offer you money to use their internet browser.
How It Works
I’m not sure what all countries this is available in but I know its available to everyone in the US.
To start you must download their program that is going to monitor your internet activity. If you have a desktop computer you can easily download an extension for this and if you have a mobile device you can download an app for it.
Once you have the extension or app installed you are done pretty much. Now all you do is go about your day as you normally would. This program will run quietly and not effect anything you do. It just monitors your activity and isn’t going to take over your computer/phone or anything like that.
Once you have enough money in your account you will be able to claim rewards. The money is worth nothing to you until you actually cash out.
The available rewards include a range of gift cards to all the bit retailers…. Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc.
Once you have $5 in your account there will be some gift cards that you can cash out for but most start out at $10.
How Much Money Can You Make?
You definitely aren’t going to make it rich with this program but it is still a nice and simple way to earn some extra cash.
The amount that you will make depends on the amount of different devices you have the program installed on and are active on. You can have up to 3 devices that you can be making money off of, which include a desktop computer, smartphone, and a tablet.
The amount you will make depending on the amount of devices you have goes as follows…
- Single Device Type (any)
- $2 installment bonus
- Two Device Types (any 2)
- $4 installment bonus
- All Three Device Types (desktop computer, smartphone, tablet)
- $6 installment bonus
As you see you will make money initially from installing the device and then receive weekly payments as long as you have the device(s) active.
If you install this on 3 devices you could earn $18 in your first month and then $12/mo thereafter.
Most of the complaints I found online are from people experiencing technical issues such as the program claiming they are inactive when they are really active, not being able to login, etc.
There have been multiple complaints I have found claiming that this app noticeably slows down their phone when it is running. This is understandable to some degree but some claim it is a burden.
Mobile app users also seem to complain a bunch about it draining their battery. This is also understandable as any additional app you run will drain your battery more.
If you are the type of person that thinks there are all sorts of government spy operations going on monitoring and trying to influence people without them knowing then this might not be a good program for you.
If you download the program you WILL be monitored and they WILL see everything you do online. You also might not want to download this program if you are engaged in illegal online activity.
But if you are just an innocent internet browser going about your day and browsing news, product reviews, information, etc.. then this might be a good fit for you.
Final Thoughts & What I Recommend
Overall I like what Cross Media Panel brings to the table. They give you a way to make money doing what you are going to do anyhow. It doesn’t matter if you have the program installed or not, you are going to search the internet regardless. Its a nice way to earn money doing absolutely nothing extra.
If you are interested in making money with Cross Media Panel you might also be interested in Qmee. This is also a browser extension that you get paid to search the web with. But this one is a little different. Anyway, I thought I’d just throw that out there.
Back to Cross Media Panel… Its definitely not a scam but its might not be what you are looking for. I would only recommend it to people looking to make a very small amount of passive income and only if you don’t mind if people see what you do on your computer.
Its a good way to earn a few extra bucks every month but it by no means is going to make you much. If you are looking to make real money online then I suggest taking a look at how I do so.
I actually make a living working online and I sure as heck am not going around browsing the web all day for money. I have written a post on what I do to make money online, how it all works, and how others can do the same. You can click the link below to read about it if you want to.
